Roy, it is time for Sørloth and Ayew. I have been extremely patient BUT HOW MANY MORE chances can Benteke waste? And you take Ayew off for Sørloth. Meyer should play from outset as should Kayoute. Schlupp is a good player .... but a starting player? Give these guys a starting role and let THEM build experience with CP. and THEIR confidence too.

Ayew hasn’t played all season so asking him to play the full 90 was optimistic. Additionally he was also awful today - no better than Benteke (which is a f***ing low bar) so I don’t hate that sub. All the subs should have come much earlier though (like starting lineup early or latest 45 mins)

Sat here after an abysmal display which sadly I like many others had to pay to watch.
The referee didn't help but until I see it on TV it is difficult to be sensible about that.
Hennessey should stay on his line sometimes even though the first goal wasn't his fault - completely anyway.
Wan biss - class.
Kelly - hmm
Sakho - okay
Van A - okay
Sclupp - awful, awful
Luka - poor game again
Jimmy Mac - brilliant
Townsend - dreadful
Ayew did well
Benteke - enough said
Hodgson should have had Andros and Sclupp off at half time.
I am struggling for words to describe that awful performance against a team of donkeys!

I think Roy was waiting for the international break to make the changes that most of us want. He's a deliberate man, and now he has the "evidence" to demote Benteke (he might start, but won't play nearly as much) and promote Meyer, and none of the players can complain. In the long run, team chemistry mattered more than today's result, and Roy knows what he's doing.

Seriously? He made several good saves and saved a penalty, not sure you can ask much more from a keeper.

FFS.
So our transfer policy isn't to blame then?
Two key players injured and we are garbage.

That was truly embarrassing.

To everyone else, we are a 1 man team and without Zaha we are a piece of s***.

McArthur was the only player today that deserves any sort of credit.

Benteke is absolutely abysmal - missing from 3 yards when 1-0 down is terrible and the 3 goals in 35 games stat makes me shudder.

Hodgson needs to make changes over this 2 week break because this clearly isn't working. You can call it bad luck but Southampton were hardly world beaters yet we got beaten comfortably.

Benteke's strongest attribute is supposed to be his head and yet he somehow managed again to make a complete hash of using that as well. 2 gilt edged opportunities totally spurned and numerous other missed chances.

Don't say I didn't say so. All there to see from last season, yet Hodgson (a very stubborn manager who doesn't like change) persists with Benteke. Meyer must start next game, as should Sorloth. Roy is one dimensional and doesn't appear to have a plan B, leaves substitutions far too late when it is clear from the first half that the team are disorganised and disjointed. That's his job. Sort it out!

Another weekend ruined. Roy is losing the support of the fans. If you play bencrape again it’s totally lost. We’ve had enough.

I desperately hope Roy said to Benteke at the start of the season 'Right, you've got until the first international break to prove yourself.'

Let's pray we never see him start again.

f***ing furious. Roy needs to be less stubborn now and drop that donkey. Or, if you refuse to drop him, make a change earlier. Both Koueyte and Meyer changed the game up for us. As for the players, why don't they show that kind of desire from the f***ing start.

Players at the back were woeful today with the exception of wan bissakka, who i don't think had his best game. Hand ball I actually am not sure if it was intentional but I am bias. PVA looked better when on the front foot today but his crosses weren't the best.

Shocking overall performance. Wayne looked class and I feel sorry for Guita, going to be tough for him to get in.

p.s. f*** off benteke

I'm not so sure he does
