What sad news.He was really held in esteem by many. Thoughts and prayers go out to Joe Calzaghe, the family and all Enzo's friends.He will be sadly missed. RIP.

He seemed like a good fella. In one of those strange coincidences in life, I just watched a recording of yesterday’s ‘Question of Sport’ where ‘Joe Calzaghe’ was one of those ‘words or phrases’ that one of the team captains has to convey to their team without uttering the actual words. At that point I checked my phone to see if anything was going on on HOL, to immediately see the words ‘Enzo Calzaghe’ in the list of threads. Very disconcerting, and of course very sad for those he leaves behind. Edited by YT (15 Sep 2018 6.56am)

Very sad. Thoughts go out to his family. He was a superb trainer. Im pretty sure at one point he had 3 world champions in his gym, which was a little run down shack in a field in South Wales. Considering he had never boxed as a professional was quite an achievement.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Just read that he is in fact still alive. He's very poorly apparently but still fighting!
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
