Groves v C Smith

This Friday on ITV Box Office.

Ring walk estimated for 9pm.

Real shame, this has had zero publicity as being held in the Middle East and yet it's the best domestic bout of 2018.

Toss of a coin fight, both can bang, however my money is on George who I believe has the greater skill set, punch variation and of course experience.

Yes I think Groves might wear him down and win , I liked Smith, but he hasn’t been great in his last couple , but does have knockout power. Good fight.

The Sauerland's are idiots. Usyk fights Gassiev in Russia, but a card with 3 Brits and an Irishman is staged in Saudi Arabia. And they put it on the shambles that is ITV box office.

The ring walk is 10pm I've heard. Groves should win comfortably.

Groves was poorly managed/trained.

Massive under-achiever

I think Smith knocks Groves out.

Then again, with my record on boxing predictions.....You're better off sticking your money on Groves.

He beat his long time rival with the widely perceived bigger name. He's fought twice at Wembley stadium and is a current World Champion.

He'll probably bank another £5m on Saturday.

Yeah, massive under achiever...

This.

His record is like a whose who of the Super Middle division over the past five years. Has never ducked anyone and has made a fortune.

I would say it's Smith who has been poorly managed. Groves will be his first A list opponent.

Can't wait for this one.

I think I came across a bit lacking in my comments yesterday.
Groves seemed left behind after his last beating of DeGale. It's about perspective.
Groves is steady and workmanlike, and it is easy to underestimate his ability when he doesn't 'spark-out' the opponent.
Groves is intelligent and articulate, but lags a bit in the charisma stakes.
I think Groves will edge it.

Eubanks just won his fight on the undercard.

Very odd. Opponent quit after round four stating a shoulder injury and then preceded to offer Eubank out in the post match interview.

Groves stopped by Smith. I think that is it for his career a nearly man I am afraid.
