I'm embarrassingly pleased this verdict has been reached... just so sad in its in the most tragic of circumstances... Those of us in the job with any know how have known for years that having unarmed officers at the gates of the UKs government building was a tragedy waiting to happen...

No other country in the world would do it but we are so keen to appease the MPs and the tourists by showing we don't need guns when in reality we do...

Sadly an officer had to lose his life to make those at the top realise what those of us at the bottom have always known.. A wife left without a husband... children left without a father.... RIP PC Keith Palmer... Let's hope this country wakes up and realises we are in a war.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

A tragedy, I don't claim any special knowledge so respect to you.

I have heard that there is an MP's committee which decides security for the HOP and had previously turned down a request for armed police on the gates. If true then it was an incident waiting to happen and those MP's should be ashamed of themselves.

The first victim of armed police would have been that cycling scumbag Andrew Mitchell. Pity

On a serious note, I totally agree with KBLF. Even as far back as the 1980's you could see serious crime/terrorism escalating in the methods used.

If you want a protective force, then give them the tools to do so. Don't leave them as victims too.
