Agree with your assessment and feel that we will be lucky to secure 1 point out of those 5 particularly games.
Very worried about our prospects for survival this season as do not know where the goals will come from unless a resurgent,motivated Benteke can return from his barren spell,with confidence restored.

I agree makes no sense if we sell him for say 100m it sounds good that we can then go buy a bunch of players but it wont work like that will it.

I would expect teams to bump prices up a lot and still run in to wage issue wilf is on what 130k so bringing in other quality wont be far of that and wage wise we are as you stated already using 80% of incoming money

I was that ploner and I stand by my opinion. WB has been doing great for a youngster but his form has dipped badly and it doesn't do him any good to play him when he is getting robbed and caught out all the time. Young players are by and large inconsistent and the position we are in now we need the dependability of Ward.

As someone on this thread said, you could play Ward at RB and WB to play further up (although I would thing that would be as a sub). At the moment WB is not a plus.

I was expecting a more attacking intent from Wolves, instead, particularly in the early part of the game they were content to sit back, made little attempt to really press us and were content on playing on the break.

We had a lot of the ball because of this but it was all played in front of the Wolves defence.With no target man we didn't play long balls forward but were more patient on our build up and played to feet but we never really 'Landed a glove' on the Wolves defence.Admittedly we had a couple of chances in the second half following a Meyer shot and a cut back from Ayew but in general it was hard to see us scoring.Zaha was shackled and when this happens we pose little threat at all.And I noticed Wolves pulled every player back to defend corners and we never looked a threat from them.

At least some of the teams below us never picked up maximum points !

glad someone read my post , my thinking is with someone who is very experienced defender with him on that side would make him less vulnerable and allow his natural flair come through going forward also he does have defensive skills,for me thats a win win,Townsend has left him on his own to often and not doing enough going forward AWB has alittle bit more about him when going forward
