If last season is anything to go by then seven home wins out of nineteen matches would bear that prognosis out!!

You keep saying this but fail to mention we drew 5, which include draws against Everton, West Ham and City which getting a point out of shouldn't be sniffed at.

Meaning out of 19 home games, we were beaten by 7 teams and 4 of them were against top 6 sides which we're not expected to get anything out of.
12 games out of 19 doesn’t sound so bad, 12 games where we've gained 3 points or at least 1 isn't bad going for a team battling relegation.

I’m pretty sure the team prefer attacking towards the Holmesdale in the second half for obvious reasons. The HF do a great job spurring the team and other fans on, which in turn gives them a boost, anybody who’s played football to a crowd knows the difference it makes – what the HF can’t do is determine whether the team can produce the quality on the pitch, this is down to Roy, the players and SP.

Or to put it another way we gained just 26 points out of 57 on offer. Not very good for a home record whichever way you look at it. Our performances are purely down to the players and the coaching staff and nothing whatsoever to do with the HF.

We are a team constantly battling relegation, what are you expecting from our home record?
Having played in front of fans and opposition fans, I completely disagree with you and so would many others who have done the same, which of course would include professional footballers who have played at the highest level. Even if it is the smallest of differences, every little helps in a game with such small margins between winning and losing.

Well a darn site better than just three more wins than our away games for a start. Just says to anyone with a modicum of football knowledge that there is nothing special about the HF and SP atmosphere that makes us play any better. Yes the HF rack up the noise but it does not translate to results on the pitch.

Again the lack of any real argument opposing my view point speaks volumes.

As I stated in the pub the other night, it is simple cause and effect, the HF go, so does the atmosphere. that I'm sure as Palace fans we were all proud of.

Marge and Bert leave, in the grand scheme of things, who gives a fcuk, Certainly not the club that's for sure, and I know that sounds terrible but it is a harsh reality.

The HF come back so does the atmosphere, and if a few people who consider their seat personnel real estate (wrongly I might add) have a girly pissy fit because they have to move a few a meter's then so what.

Getting all indignant about it is just prolonging the inevitable.

I also stated in a prior post that the flat atmosphere may have something to do with out dip in form at home. I was met with the dumbest comment I have ever read on here, " The emirates has a flat atmosphere and Arsenal are 4th in league "

THE SQUAD ALSO COST ABOUT HALF A BILLION YOU IDIOT.

Our's most certainly didn't and the Adrenalin created by a screaming crowd, shouting encouragement and screaming your name, is what is lacking. I truly believe the players respond to the crowd, and having played in front of large (ish) crowds myself, you are certainly more fired up, then when the grounds empty and silent.

Stop Bitching and whining and move seats.

You are talking complete and utter nonsense.
The so called HF are a passing fad, whereas Marge and Bert are the life blood of the club, who turned up during the bad times ,and will still turn up when inevitably the bad times return.
If the HF believe they have such an influence over the team's performance then they have betrayed the Palace by disbanding, and if we are relegated this season,it will be partly down to them in that case.
What you said " in the pub the other night" means diddly.
Marge and Bert have paid their dues and have every right to retain their seats, they won't flounce off if things aren't going well on the pitch.
There's more to supporting Palace through the generations than waving flags and banging drums.
The harsh reality is that Marge and Bert are the club, they are the ones that support the Palace even when times are at their worst.

We of the "Marge and Bert" generation would echo the above extremely well put post. The old time supporters (I include myself) are being undervalued by drum banging, shouting and fancy dress.

I was a great supporter of the HF while they were in Block B. The solution to the entire issue would be for them to remain there but, of course, they have sensed weakness in the chairman and feel they can push their case.

Shame.

This is such a typically Palace issue.

We go and get a deserved reputation for our atmosphere and vociferous support and then it promptly implodes.

Pathetic

Just because results do not improve with better atmosphere does not mean the the atmosphere does not improve Performance.
It may improve performance - just not enough to achieve better results!
