Absolute rubbish today.

Strange, I spoke to a West Ham mate after the game , he said that Meyer is very good, good with the ball and reminded him of Lanzini.
He couldn’t believe we took him off for Puncheon.

He was anonymous and on a couple of occasions and robbed of the ball very easily in his own half. Looked completely lightweight. Not the only poor performer by any stretch mind. Luka failed to impose himself on the game and probably only McArthur and Kouyate good enough.

Supporters have expected much more from him given that he arrived with a positive reputation but I have been telling people that if he was as good as many expected he wouldn't have come to us on a Free, besides I don't recall any great demand for his services from other clubs.Perhaps in a better team he could make a positive impact from the bench.

I heard he was worse than that !

So Meyer hasn't delivered, neither has Sorloth and Ayew.Add the likes of Riedewald,Rakip and Jach and one can appreciate why supporters question our recruitment and have no faith that matters will improve on this front in January.

Against Burnley, although we played with Wilf/Andros up top, we maintained our width throughout the match and as a result Meyer could find an out pass. In the last two games we played narrow and tried to pass it through the middle where there was no room. Meyer couldn't possibly have looked good as there was nowhere to go and no-one to pass to. Once Wilf drifted wide we looked a lot more dangerous , there was more space and then they took Meyer off.

I think he's a good player, but we need to play to our strengths which means two wide men with full backs overlapping as well, one target man and Meyer/Kouyate supporting left and right in midfield, Milivojevic sitting behind them.

Too many excuses look how consistently McArthur has played despite being asked to fulfil every midfield role by numerous different managers.

Different sort of player, but I agree he is consistent and constantly amazed when he is taken off for a not so influential player.

There are players you can persist with that you feel can come good, and I feel Meyer is one of them. I remember years ago, Hayden Mullins being awful when he came in, but Palace persisted with him and he became quite accomplished.

Others though are beyond help. Players like Sorloth and Ayew remind me of previous players like Torgelle and Akinbiyi. Completely useless.
