It doesn't count when it's two left feet.

He's like a more sophisticated / injury free version of Johnny Williams IMO!

In the right team he'd thrive ... but his confidence is getting battered being left out all the time. As it would any player ...

Agree with this.. In a side like Wolves for example he would be superb because of how they play.
You can see how good and intelligent he is but we don't play in a way that suits him and I genuinely think that Roy doesn't like him.

One thing I notice is that he has a real connection with flair players... He always looks for Wilf when he plays and they seem to have a very good understanding.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I don’t think you’v been watching him. He is a fantastic kicker of the ball, with accuracy, using either foot. It is one reason I would pick him over Guaita. It makes most sense when we have a big target man.

Anyone think his slow uptake of English might be the issue?

Exactly. Until such a time we can give him more freedom, he'll just be a bench warmer. Doesn't suit our system at all .. but tbh, I'm stumped as to what our system is these days.

I think Roy's lost it a bit since he had to deploy Wilf & Andros as direct attacking options. The minute he gets a 'striker' back / available now he doesn't seem to know what he's doing ... especially when we're at home.

Yes I agree, very similar. He just isnt a Roy type of player. In my opinion if we stay up we will see more of Max and less of Roy next season.

I hope you are right.
No one outside of roys favourites is a roy player.
I was hoping he may try some youth strikers when he had none in his top squad.
AWB was never getting a game if ward wasnt injured.
To me that would be a lightbulb moment about the youth players.
But sadly roys light doesnt shine down only up.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I suspect it is more to do with his lack of physicality, his lack of pace, his ability to play a pass no further than a 3 yeear old can kick it.
