Agreed.

1.44:1 win and draw/loss ratio since he arrived. 1.21 points per game. That includes sorting out a shocking mess, virtually no money, no functioning strikers, and a major injury crisis last year. Yes, he must be s*** because "Kane on corners..." nuff said.

Yes, and don't forget he also only picks his favourites not who our experts want.

I read an article that Roy turns up to watch the players not in the first team train. It sounds obvious but it most be soul destroying if you are not in the first team and work hard in training and there is no one to impress.

You get the impression with Roy that if you work hard and follow orders you will get a chance, that I suspect matters a lot to the players and is key to a happy squad.

It also begs the question what is going on with Connor Wickham? Is he not putting a shift in? Is he really injured or not prepared to play through the pain barrier?

I trust Roy and if he doesn't fancy Wickham because of what he sees or doesn't see in training then fair enough.

It might also explain why he sticks with Ayew. I have been impressed with his work rate during the second half of the season and whilst he should score more goals as yesterday showed he is becoming a good impact sub.

Great post, exactly my thoughts on this discussion.

Like all managers Roy has his faults but for me he fits our club perfectly.

A thank you from me to Roy

I agree I have supported Roy's assessment of what is best for our club from day one
