Detest Only Fools and Horses (more accurately, can’t abide that little pr*ck David Jason)
I head up the campaign to erase off the planet every edition of Gavin & Stacey

Enough to be going on with, I think.

I'm with you on most of this other than only fools, absolute classic!

I've tried 4 times to watch star wars (the first ever film) and always fall asleep half way through. Game of thrones I watched the first couple of series of and binned. Can't be dealing with it, it's like Warhammer on TV, nerdy.

American football is s***e, no idea how anyone in the UK can get into that.

Breaking Bad and Homeland passed me by but I'm catching up with the latter on Netflix

Off hand, I can't think of any classics that I haven;t seen.
So here is a list of 'classics' that people seem to love that I have seen and thought were very annoying, awful or seriously overrated.

Friends.

Casablanca
Star Wars
2001: A Space Odyssey
Only Fools And Horses
The Wizard Of OZ
Top Gun
Willy Wonka
Clockwork Orange
Kelly's Heroes. (like Clint, hate that film)
A Wonderful Life
The Matrix

I'll think of some more.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

With you there, along with that other make-believe cobblers, Lord of the Rings.

I thought Game of Thrones was fantasy cobblers as well, which is something that doesn’t float my boat. Until I watched every series back to back just before the last series to see what all the fuss was about and was blown away how brilliant it was. Close to being one of the best things I’ve ever seen on TV. I think as well as the murder and mayhem, it’s great drama from good actors as well.

Not sure it qualifies as a classic, but I was getting nagged from various people when it was on to watch ‘shameless’ but never fancied it. I think it all looked a bit too northern for me

The first series was excellent but it went rapidly downhill very quickly

How much of it is there to watch? Series, episodes, hours/minutes?

I may watch it one day. Has it ended or will it end, or do you have to catch up while it’s still being aired?
