As the old saying goes... the if you can’t support the team when it’s losing, you can’t support the team when it’s winning.

we are in our biggest winning streak ever..

Which in fairness could be even bigger if Roy was bolder.

We should have made all 3 subs and changed to this when we were chasing the game.

Batshuayi looked really up for it when he first arrived. He’d pick the ball up and it was as if you could mind read he wanted to score in the next 5 seconds. Now he’s either seen it for what it is, and I mean the strategy rather than the club, or he’s just isolated, which will disillusion him anyway.

Dare I say it was more entertaining under Pardew. There are certain ways to get beat, the manner of defeat against Watford, Brighton and even more so tonight are utterly shameful. Roy won't go though, and next year will be the same, finish 16th, lose a couple of our top players and fail to replace them - repeat.

Yeah the Watford and Brighton games are hard to accept but they weren’t surprise performances or results from us.

How can anyone defend that performance or tactics tonight it was a total embarrassment it’s not about win, lose or draw it’s the manner of the performance.

Yes we are on our best run since the club was formed but that does not mean performances like tonight are acceptable.

The fans deserve better than that.

It’s time Roy retired there is no doubt we should be competing with the likes of Wolves, Watford, West Ham, Leicester & Bournemouth something we are not currently doing.

He is isolated, he needs the defence playing further up the pitch which in turn pushes the midfield up. He isn’t a forward that can have a long ball heading towards him from defence. I don’t remember in the last few matches any short ball play between him and the midfield. It was obvious tonight that Benteke should have come on much earlier. Only Hodgson didn’t see this? I do think though that most of our poor recent play is down to Sakho missing. His injury has caused us a Wembley appearance and the recent defeats. Hodgson hasn’t been able to change the way we play (no plan B) and the team / fans are suffering because of this. Thank goodness Sakho got injured with just about enough points on the board to keep us up?

The squad is rubbish but for a very small group of individuals. Look at our line up and guess what Spurs fans must have thought.

We are basically Shiite playing the way we are at present. There is no way of sugar coating it. We have no players, not one, who wants to win the ball in midfield. We are no good in the air, at holding the ball up or passing. How the f..k anyone thinks we are going to win a game against a team that actually wants to win is beyond me.

Spurs wanted to win tonight and we capitulated from the first minute.

Roy used Zaha and Ayew to lead the line in Benteke's absence and both proved they cannot do it as it is a specialist role that they don't have the skillset for . Benteke gets fit, but Roy decides to play another quick on the shoulder forward as a line leader and he can't do that job either. Nothing has been created for Batshuayi bar that Burnley goal and he can't lead the line. Not a criticism, an observation. Remember Zaha didn't register a goal or an assist in 13 games in that role.
Tonight Wilf was isolated on the wing and as he did on Saturday, he was mainly an auxiliary left back. He only got the ball from a standing start and when confronted by about 3 players. The switch to partnering Batshuayi really made no difference as they were isolated and Bats and him can't lead the line. Once Benteke came on it occupied the cb's, gave us an out ball and we sent players up in support. Once more Wilf proved just what he can do to you when he gets it early and they can't just gang up on him. The lad must be seriously frustrated playing for 80 minutes in a setup like that. Batshuayi must be praying for his time with us to end as Royball is making him look awful. Tonight's setup was tailor made for a player like Benteke as has every game since we lost our only ball playing cb. Teams are happy to let our cb's have the ball then press and force us to play it long and with no targetman the ball just comes straight back. Even with a targetman, we are so deep it makes his job doubly difficult. The lack of ambition is just painful to watch.
Not hindsight, I love how Roy saved us last season, but I said before this one kicked off I wanted him gone and sadly he's proved me right.

The first season we’ve had with no real threat of being relegated, whilst barely spending a penny and some still want the manager out.. I despair!

Really hope SP has more common sense than some fans.

I hope Roy calls it a day at the end off the season.

His to old,we need a young forward thinking coach.
