I doubt it as what's the odds of it ever happening again True, but it happened the first so better rules could have enabled a clearer winner. The difference between winner and loser is so significant that boundary count-back is just not doing it for me. That said, England won and have been the best one day side for years now....so it's a recognition of that.

It was a great game....and believe me, everyone that follows cricket down here is absolutely guttered, I know I am, grown man crying material, and yes there were factors that did not go our way, but what I can't work out, instead of a count back system, why not another super over if the scores were tied after the first, seems logical to me...(or count back the wickets taken ;-) )....but it is done and dusted now, well done to England. Bad luck mate. You always have the rugby coming up anyhow. May as well let England have something.

Blimey. The BBC 10 o'clock news last night made the following day celebrations and reflections the lead story and it lasted about 10 minutes. It makes a change for good news to take centre stage so I'm all for it. And how often do we win anything anyway? Let the celebrations roll on. Edited by dollardays (17 Jul 2019 1.31am)
