My Granddad used to rave about Peter Simpson. Just looked his record up - 165 goals in 195 games. If only.

I have vague recollections of having watched Ray Potter and Roy Bailey, but like many others Vic Rouse was my first Palace hero followed by Bert Howe and the great Johnny Byrne.
Agree with fellow old supporters - moving from one end to the other at half time, and buying a Wagon Wheel on the way, was all part of the fun of visiting and supporting Palace
