Ok guys what did you think and what would you like me to dig out for the .mp3 thread.

I watched the Cure last night as they are heading the Paleo festival down the road from me at the end of July.

Decided 2 hrs of Smiths whiney voice is a bit too much and will pass on that one.

Stormzy did a stonking gig , watch this space.

Hoping to find the whole Foals gig (they did 10 impromptu numbers). Apparantly only people directly in front of the stage could hear them as Glasto has mono directional speakers.

Excited to find the Streets gig (would have preferred to watch that than the Cure tbh.)

Liked the Nick Cave/Kylie song.

The Jeff Goldblum jazz gig with The Milfred Snitzer Orchestra was cool.

For me though the best gig by far was the Chemical Brothers, I mean when you pay for a show, expect to get a show.

That being said it seems a long way off from the free festival in 1977 when I was there with staffie.......

It confirmed my long-held belief that, without studio enhancement, Kylie Minogue is an appalling singer. All the saps brought up on a diet of Neighbours and other valueless cultural chewing gum singing along with it was a bit stomach churning.

I thought Jeff Goldblum was pretty cool, though.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Not especially for you then?

Emphatically not. Couldn't you guess?

But was she wearing that white dress?

I kind of get the impression that this thread would find more enthusiasm on the bbs.

They are the majority kind of people who turn up to it.

I thought it was a weird performance by Nick.

He didn't look comfortable and seemed to be smiling out of context with the song !

Thought The Cure were great and was impressed by how good Smith sounded live.

I was in Avalon at the Bananarama gig just so I could sing
Na na na na na na na na whoa oa oa Wilfried Zaha
with the band

Am I sad, a genius or just a lost cause?

I secretly quite like Kylie, both as a person and a performer (given an acceptance that pop is pop and not to be taken too seriously). However I agree that her 'set' (I believe that's the word) didn't come across too well on the telly.

Still would though.

Hi Nic . . .

Wasn't overtly impressed with Glasto this year(not like it used to be in the freebie days), anyhoo, if poss, id like Jeff Goldblum's jazz set if available please.
