Parish is an absolute disaster as a Chairman/CEO of a premier league football club, he has no planning for the teams future development, he is a control freak, he has DOF who is a joke! we are now well into the last week of the transfer window with a weak squad, we have spent about 2mil so far on the team this window, we are now in SP panic zone when he will run around like a headless chicken looking to plug holes in our squad with so called bargain buy's, sometime with sick notes attached to their contracts. We need change right at the top if we are to progress any further in PL, otherwise as is it is back to the championship and probably even further down the league unless we have some change of direction!

Nail on the head. Its ok thought because things are so much better than they could be according to other fans. Again until the mentality of our business acumen lacking , basic nigel fan base changes we will not move forward.

Yes I did and I also saw Ian Judas Wright celebrate against us when he scored for Arsenal to send us down. He is vermin and not a legend.

I don’t think Ian Wright deserves that. He was a legend for us and one of the best players I ever saw in a Palace shirt.

Yes he WAS a very good player, but his abhorrent conduct after his departure shows what in ungrateful little swine he is and we should never have accepted him back into the fold.

Could explain how a change in the fan base will help the club move forward?

Your opinion on Wright is obviously ignorant of the impact he had on the club at the time after years in the doldrums. He got his move to a bigger club, which some think Zaha should have, what he did after he left is of no interest.

I am looking forward to the close of the window when hopefully Parish will break his silence and give an explanation of this pre-season which to say the least is a mystery to me.
We’ve sold one jewel in AWB and failed to dampen speculation on the other in Zaha.
Ward has been a real stalwart for the club and a favourite of mine but we have to face facts.
Although he gets blocks in the penalty area and last ditch tackles he is vulnerable (as is PVA) to balls played inside him and seems to be caught out on pace and he doesn’t stop crosses.
I no longer believe he’s good enough as first choice as right back.
Dann was one of our best players a few years ago and one of the best centre halves outside the top six.
Sadly injuries and age have taken their toll and I’m not sure we can rely on him in the same way.
We already know about the vulnerability of Sakho and Tomkins to injury and if they are out for any length of time our defence looks porous.
At the moment we’re still relying on the same strikers as last season and unfortunately we carry zero threat or thrust without Zaha.
Any success we had last season was based on the excellence of AWB , Tomkins and Sakho at the back and the occasional brilliance of Zaha and the penalties of Luka.
That foundation is starting to look shaky..
Hodgson is reasonably adept at organising teams and his teams don’t usually get hammered, but there are limits to how far good organisation will take us, in particular if we lack much attacking threat.

Plus he later accepted the amount of hurt 'that' celebration caused later in his career and apologised for it.
He has since admitted to being as much a Palace fan as an Arsenal one and claims that Palace is the first result he looks out for (presumably he doesn't have to 'look out' for the Arsenal result as he's always at the game!)

It is to Parish as well, like many others transfer windows before, he has not got a clue as to what he is doing or indeed if he is trying to do anything! for sure unless something changes in the next couple of days we have an even bigger struggle ahead propping up the PL!

so we finished midtable last season, and have lost one player from that squad, we have a more than able experienced PL full back to replace him should we not sign a replacement.

we have had a bid accepted for a 25 y/o midfielder who looked decent last season at cardiff

we are bidding for a 21 y/o russian striker
we are bidding for a 17 y/o scottish winger
we are bidding for a 19 y/o chelsea full back

we are trying to purchase younger players to supplement an ageing squad...this shows a transfer strategy.

we have trimmed approx 150k a week from the wage bill

im sure you weren't a fan when we got promoted but we are embarking on our 7th seasons in the PL.

we arguably have the best squad in the history of our beloved football club

we hands down have the best player ever to play for our club in the squad

we arguably have the best ever CB ever in our squad

our old s*** stadium is sold out almost every single game

we have a chaiman who actually supports the club & gives a s***, and wont bankrupt the club just to appease dickhead fans who just want to see we signed somebody on the skysports ticker

we have a manager, who is fantastic, experienced, humble who i can not fathom anybody disliking.

i hope that is enough positives for you, i could go on, however it would be wasted.

i have said this every year since promotion & i stand by the fact i would rather no signings at all rather than signings just for the sake of signings to appease dickhead fans without a clue...feel i am in the minority tho.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'bed wetting ' by Midlands Eagle

erm

we are in serious s*it, today ive finally bed wetted .....

we sold the best rated defender in all top 5 leagues in europe for BIG MONEY, and not replaced.......

we have signed NO BODY....... ayew was already here hardly a new signing plus that goalie????

zaha, our secret weapon who hands down keeps us up year upon year hasn't kicked a ball for us since Bournemouth the final day of last season, bearing in mind our season starts in less than 6 days. Not only that, but he seems he wants out to a bigger club which he deserves. If by miracle he does stay, how will we know hes committed?

our pre-season has been an embarrassment.... couldn't beat Luzern in 90 mins, Wolloped by young boys, Wolloped by Barnet, beat by forest, beat by Bromley, TOO RIGHT we deserve a result with Bristol, couldn't beat Wimbledon..... HAMMERED by Berlin who our rivals west ham put FIVE past only a couple of days ago........

We have bought sweet F.A regarding transfers to improve and progress the squad, even if we do in the next couple of days, they have zero time to gel as a team... we are still 3 to 4 (£100 million at the very least) VERY good signings away from being better than last season

we were promised development would start as we speak to the main stand to bigger the stadium to 340000...... well that was a lie and parish new it!!!!! instead we have a new roof which has been leaking for donkeys in the hol (tight ar$e took his time) and a new dug out area......... woopeeeeee .....

Our strikers are Benteke, Sorloth and Ayew...... i would have more faith in our 1st season back in the Prem keeping us up in Glenn Murray, Dwight Gayle, Cam jerome and chamakh scoring more goals between them than what we have now.....

i know we are in our record 7th prem season but i cant see ANY good factor or positives going into it......season starts next week and if today was the best team we could put out and will probably be the team that starts everton... thats a bloody worry

i fear for our safety ....... BIG TIME i would be more optimistic being a sheffield united fan staying up right now

SORT IT OUT STEVE PARISH!!!!!

RANT OVER

p.s please feel free to abuse me for being depressing if we beat everton and sheffield united... i would LOVE IT
