However, it looked to me like PVA actually moves out of the way of the cross. If he has its unforgivable at a moment he should have been throwing his body in the way to block that ball. Watch it back, does anyone think he bottles it or am I reading it wrong? Benteke does horribly in not just receiving the ball but then taking it forward, he actually allows the opposition to catch up with him. Zaha did abysmal with the ball in possession and gave it away immediately, neither of them backtracked when they lost it, just flapped their arms. Midfield did bugger all in trying to close down the attack and allowed it to cruise on over to PVA who just backed up in the most casual manner. They were all shart, but Benteke shouldn't have f***ed it up like that.

Are you serious ? Team shape and organisation is what Hodgson is all about, of course the team is being coached to factor either player being involved.

Pragmatic use of the ball was all that was required, not risk taking and the first thing a creative type of player will be looking to do is to open the game up at a time when actually we just needed to close it out. Saying all that, ultimately Ward's misjudgement handed them an equaliser on a plate. A shame for him as I thought up until then that was his best performance in quite some time.

We should have been two down at half time, we should have been two up in the second. 1-1 was fair result, even if it's frustrating that we failed to manage the game at the end. Camarasa played the lone striker/false 9 role at Cardiff at times last season, so just take Bentenke out the squad. I said it last week, he is embarrassing himself and the club with his inept performances. Find him a loan in January where he can see out his contract. On the plus side, I thought Ward had a good game until the weird attempted floor header at the end and Kouyate imposed himself on the game. Wilf once again proved too much for the opposition fullback and looks much better on the right. Sakho was better than last week and should hopefully be back to himself by next Saturday. Vicente had a very good game.

We've played 3 average teams at home - each of them have had a player sent off, yet we've managed just 2 goals. We've played 4 home game s in all competitions and all the games have been 0-0 at half time. The set-up is just all wrong. As the BBC report says, Hodgson just sets us up to stifle the opposition. Yes do that away from home (which he didn't do at Spurs) but don't do it at home to a team who have lost 3 in a row.

Yes do that away from home (which he didn't do at Spurs) but don't do it at home to a team who have lost 3 in a row. some truth in what you are saying, however, we must face facts, we have no natural goalscorer in the side, we have generally an aged team that lacks pace, wilf is away with the fairies dreaming of pots of gold, Parish lives on past reputation dating back to 2010, we have directors who will not spend to strengthen the team, instead they asset strip, we are unlikely to beat Norwich as they are to dynamic for our slow defenders, its not looking good!

A waste of space. Has to be some young lad living near selhurst that couldn't be any worse. I'd play myself but my foot is like a 20p. Watch the giveaway at the halfway line leading up to the Wolves goal and it's all you need to see. I know a lot of fans think he's a confidence boost away from turning things around. I don't know where the evidence is for such a claim. He signed his long-term contract and seems not to give a toss anymore.

Nobody knows where they are supposed to be, or where anybody else is going to be. It's the same if Ayew or Benteke are on the pitch, that is down to not being properly coached.

We were camped in their half and didn't create anything of note. That is exactly the time to make a change to unlock their defence. Playing with 3 holding midfielders against 10 men is ridiculous. We needed to kill the game off, yet Roy didn't take advantage of the man advantage. Part of managing a game is to see that things aren't working and to try and change that. He didn't, we continued to waste all of the promising positions we were getting into and then look nervy for the last 10 minutes. The exact same thing happened against Villa and we were nearly punished then.

That's part of the shape and structure. To suggest they are not being properly coached is absurd. Despite being '' clueless '' going forward we still created two gilt edged chances to wrap the game up.
