If they f*** this up serious questions will have to be asked. I am all for getting a good deal but to try to do everything on the cheap leaves us floundering, other clubs step in and SP will trot out his usual “ we tried but couldn’t quite get it over the line”. Are we really intending to sign him or not?

I saw that one and thought 'it must be nice to just identify your transfer targets and then go out and sign them when the window opens'
