The Brexit party vote looks to be potentially doing a bit of a disappearing act of late, which you would expect. It'll be interesting to see if the same happens with the Lib Dems when push comes to shove.

Only to be expected, I voted for them as a protest to force the Tories to do their job I suspect others may have done the same. If Farage carries out his threat to field candidates everywhere he may end up looking foolish if all he can do is get 6% of the vote.

It would make more sense for him to swallow his pride and target around 50 Labour seats where they could make a better showing.

It will be interesting to see the Libs Dems, going into the GE they had around 20 MPS although a lot of these were defectors. If they are really on the rise they need to get at least that number any less is a failure.

If this really is "the brexit election" and it is the main factor in how people vote, it will be interesting to see how close the end result is to how constituencies voted in the referendum.
Leave 406
Remain 242.

Good point although if it ends up close to your numbers no doubt the BBC will do another graph showing that the Remainers actually won.

So apart from who actually wins the GE and do they have an overall majority the numbers to look out for are yours and how many seats will the LiB Dems get.

Actually you don't fall into "that" category!

I disagree with your politics but you are respectful and polite.

There are others on here who back in the 1930s would have been wearing black shirts and marching with Oswald Mosley. It's those who I cannot tolerate and who I think all decent people, including yourself, ought to oppose vehemently. The problem is that they don't recognise this in themselves.

I won't name names, as they ought to be obvious.

Add to that the standard of "moderation" which is so biased as to be a joke and you might begin to understand why a moderate like me thinks there are better ways at the moment to spend my time than on here.

I too will be out on the doorsteps soon. But not for the Tory Party. They have left me.

Be interesting to see how Cornwall goes, always used to be Liberal or Tory - and was certainly leave.

And speaking of WE a story in the Mail he might be interested in about George Soros funding and interfering in the Brexit campaign.

Of course it couldn't possibly be true because it's the Mail, still you never know...

Good point. It will certainly be interesting to pick apart the results after the election. There are enough dynamics at play to create a lot of unknowns at present.

The scandal over Boris Johnson’s friendship with technology entrepreneur Jennifer Arcuri was reignited on Saturday after the Observer revealed that the independent police watchdog has delayed its announcement on whether the PM should face an investigation into possible criminal misconduct until after the election.

The decision prompted fury from Westminster politicians and London assembly members who said it appeared that a ruling had been “suppressed” in order to protect Johnson from potentially damaging headlines at a crucial stage of the election campaign.

I didn't attach much to this until I thought, hang on, what has the political situation got to do with the police?

Steeleye you forgot to add this sentence from the cut and paste

"But, in a statement, the Independent Office for Police Conduct denies it has delayed any announcement. "
