This post has been merged from a topic called 'Palace vs Brighton Match Thread' by bexleydave I just re watching the coverage while on the train home to see what i missed that tv picked up, so far we looked even worse if possible on tv. this system every week is just poor he needs to mix it up. Looking back at some old footage from when we first came up we have lost a lot of what we was about great pace counter attacking, pumping balls into the box, great set pieces yet now we have much better players and have gone backwards in all of those. I look at the players we had available tonight and wonder again why have we gone so defensive at home again we should of been having a go at Brighton if it didn't work come half time switch the system. Regarding money not sure I trust Roy with the funds and it looks like owners don't either but it's a must we need more quality to compete. The positives from that game are we did get to see some others have a chance even if it was forced and for how bad we was we didnt lose the game.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Palace vs Brighton Match Thread' by bexleydave I know Roy's tactics at times are very frustrating, but you have to admire what he's achieved with almost zero support in the transfer market. If PvA and Townsend had been fit tonight we would have worked their defence a lot harder, even if they may still have dominated possession. With our injury list they should have done more and aside from the goal most of their chances were comfortably dealt with. Let's hope we finally spend on some quality additions and get the result at the Amex in 2020.

This f***er gets away with murder right now awful for 70 mins and I was ready to fume but Saint Wilf as usual saves us. Good atmosphere considering the crap on the pitch imo

He had one ball hit the post (he was trying to cross the ball). With 30 mins to go wouldnt it of been wise to take Benteke off and throw a hungry Connor Wickham with lots to prove on?? They definitely targeted him but personally I felt we lacked any guts or guile in midfield- which is where most games are won or lost.

Just watched Roys interview and he was apparently injured. Another man down!
