I'm not against McCarthy himself and I think that if he plays like this, then he really proves himself. I'm just saying I wouldn't keep all 3 of Kouyate, McCarthy and Luka in a 25 men squad.

Hard to chose though. Kouyate has probably been the best. McCarthy has been good for his price. Luka has been captain (penalties don't count). But he is 28 already and maybe if a 20 million offer would come, it would be good to let him go, cause it will not happen after 30.

When did Luka last have a good game, I cant remember one this season.

In my opinion he is the our 1st choice CM now. It will be interesting to see who Roy starts in the next game. James MCCarthur had an off day yesterday so wouldn’t be surprised to see Luka step back in.

McCarthur had probably his best game for us yesterday, it was his type of game against a physical side like Watford where we had to match them kick for kick. Jimmy Mac didn't have a particularly good game yesterday and at the point when he was subbed we were starting to look a bit heavy legged, when Luka came on I do think we improved and yes I do think Luka will start at Bournemouth although I'm still not sure he should.

James McCarthy played a valuable part in our victory.
Apropos McArthur,to my aged eyes he looked somewhat weary towards the end of the Brighton game and he wasn't at his best yesterday.

About 5-10 mins before he was replaced I mentioned to the learned gentleman next to me that I felt Milivojevic should be introduced from the bench and of course Hodgson duly obliged.

Agreed, and I don’t think any of us will hold a bad game against James McCarthur. He has been brilliant all season.

I don't think it was a coincidence that McCarthy's inclusion yesterday resulted in Watford's failure to bully Palace out of the game in midfield.

Yes, we saw the same rotational fouling that Watford are known for but McCarthy and Kouyate stood up to them.

Indeed.
I have to mention Kouyate who was impressive against aggressive opponents.

Quite possibly our most improved player from last season

With McCarthy showing his worth with every game and Kouyate on form, what happens next week? Will Roy stick with Jimmy Mac (MaCarthur) or bring in Luka, or will he bench one of the first two mentioned who have played important roles in our last three wins with their midfield play, so as to keep Jimmy Mac in the team?
An interesting conundrum.

I think he will rest Jimmy MAC and start with Luka. COYP
