I cannot believe people are so sanguine about this. Roy said at the start of this transfer window we needed 4 to 5 players, including two full backs. We've got 1 player on loan, no full backs, and seem close to letting our first choice left back go having failed to replace our departing first choice right back in the last window. Roy must be seething...

I cannot believe people are so sanguine about this. Roy said at the start of this transfer window we needed 4 to 5 players, including two full backs. We've got 1 player on loan, no full backs, and seem close to letting our first choice left back go having failed to replace our departing first choice right back in the last window. Roy must be seething...

This will play a part. A reasonably reliable magazine seems to think the offer will be upped to 10m and thinks that will be accepted. [Link] I saw a little movie about him, his personal situation, his private cab and driver on one of the football channels here and was surprised to see how he seemed to long to come back to Holland. A kid at school going age no doubt playing part. 10m is not much in English football but the general consent here is that it is massive money for PSV as they will likely not recoup anything afterwards and his wages will be astronomical for Dutch standards. We havent had a recognised right back since the start of the season, we havent had a recognised STRIKER, for approx 3 seasons.
