I love watching the circular firing squad of the left.

Guardian readers love to preach their moral superiority to the rest of us.

When they're not race-baiting each day, remember when The Guardian had to apologise for saying David Cameron had only felt "privileged pain" over the death of his son. That was pretty low.

The Woke Court strikes again. They just can't help themselves. What next I wonder? Actually, I don't - next they will rule that the UK has to bring that poor Shamima ISIS girl back and house and feed her forever, all on the taxpayer.

The courts were infected with that middle class progressive type decades ago.....This kind of neo liberal progressive institutional s***e is everywhere via the universities.....even though it's by no means popular and voted for.

We just hope that Cummings gives these guys their P45s....if he's serious that is.

BS!

The Supreme Court doesn't make the law. It merely applies it. That sometimes requires it to interpret what it means but in doing so they don't inject their own opinion on what it ought to be. They make their determination based upon what the original intentions were that lay behind the law.

That this finding seems to have found an obvious weakness in the law, as the outcome is clearly not wise, doesn't alter that. What it does is pass a message to our legislators that they need to enact an amendment pdq. Which might be a little difficult at present.

A mealy mouthed explanation as usual.

The opinion is in the ruling for all to see. When I say all, I mean those willing to think about it.
