It's odd that Gallagher reportedly had a medical at Palace but hasn't signed the deal. That suggests a rethink on Palace's part and perhaps Bats is considered to be of more use than another midfield player.

I'm hoping we get him on loan and we buy Bats at a reasonable price. Talk of Chelsea offering Bats a new deal may just be a negotiating tactic.
