So once again, I'll try to get us back on track so that we can discuss the OP's topic, namely one Flynn Downes (and hopefully without the silly season banter concerning his siblings etc., which I confess was mildly amusing). I know nothing about the lad myself but those who have posted on here who have see n him or who have connections with people who have seem to think he's a good prospect. One poster has suggested the player's height may affect his ability to mix it in the PL. However, as another poster has noted, Downes was no stranger to yellow cards last season and Downes, himself, apparently recognises the need to improve in this area. I suppose the question is how important a future piece in the club's jigsaw building project is he? That height is not that small anyway. The game may have changed in some respects, but Billy Bremner was a midget until he tackled you, Nobby Styles took no prisoners, and Allen Ball helped drive a World Cup winning team, and remained one of the best midfield players of his time over a long career. I don’t make a comparison to Downes , except on the size issue, does anyone know how tall Messi, is?
