The fans who want him gone yesterday all believe the reason we are struggling is purely because our manager hasn't a clue what he's doing with players out of position and players not being picked to play not to mention subs and the wrong formations lol

Well if they think that , maybe it’s them that should have had a career in football taking them all round Europe, employed by some of the top organisations in the world. Only to be accused of not having a clue.
It’s easy to judge from your armchair, having none of the restraints of actually being in the mix.
Listening to the fans invariably has led to further struggle, Its common place.
This is a case of a team not in the bottom three . Some way above in fact, .having a bad period. Not the moment to change a manager. And to think there is any reality in the charge this man doesn’t have clue is laughable. If he doesn’t , and the fans do, then how easy can getting results in the Premier division be? Maybe we should all give it a go.

If the criteria for having a valid opinion is having been employed by clubs around Europe then there's no point in having a forum as I doubt anybody on here would qualify.
Furthermore, being employed by clubs around Europe does not necessarily equate to brilliance (see Avram Grant , Andres Villas Boas).
I dispute that Hodgson is anything other than bang average but am happy to see his term at Palace limp on until the end of the season, provided we don't lose the next couple of games.

Expressing an opinion on this forum is valid, it’s what it’s for as much as any other reason. But then giving reasons why that opinion might contain flaws is also valid,
Mentioning the broad extent of the career of someone, who is being accused of incompetence, by people of no experience, and so possibly of no competence is valid, but it doesn’t exclude the original opinion competent or otherwise. It merely disputes the opinion.
You said it yourself, we all as supporters see these things in different ways
Few football managers in jobs, could ever claim to be brilliant.I don’t think anyone is saying Roy, is brilliant , just that he is not totally responsible for the majority of the problems that lie behind our present run of form. And so just going after his head is not the best option.

Roy does himself.

“Of course, my track record, if people bothered to study it, would put me in the same category as [Sir Alex] Ferguson enjoys today,

Given that Roy does believe he knows best, then it’s a mystery why a coach who has worked all around the world can’t adapt when plan a fails - and plan a is failing a lot.

They knew that after Liverpool and Villa.

We need points, new blood, stability and confidence. Each of those is dependent on the others except new blood and we should have brought someone in (along with Mateta) which would have helped. The draw tonight helps us and leaves both of them losing two points. Luck doesn't always smile though.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

It's not guessing.
It's in the post match interviews where he's said the games had gone from us at 2-0 down.
At least he didn't say more recently that he was worried that the score would 'be aggravated'if we tried to get back in the game to quote the quaint phrase he uses.
Doubt we would have had 'Crystalbul' under his management.

The post match interviews are recorded with hindsight as you well know. Only a cretin would conclude we didn't lose the game in the first ten minutes.

You may not lose the game in the first 10, but it would appear our manager gives up if we are 2 down after the same period.

When I last looked at the rules the game lasts 90 plus minutes not 10 minutes.
Only a cretin who didn’t understand the rules would think otherwise.
We were 3-0 down to Liverpool and came back to draw 3-3.
But that was under a manager who knew how to compete for the whole match.
