I think that’s fairly unlikely. I would settle for one of our midfield or forwards successfully completing a forward pass.

It does not look good, I agree. But you must understand that Roy was given a job to keep Palace easily in PL, and he has been doing that for years. If we would be playing entertaining back and forth football with the same results, this conversation would be moot. The reality is that he has been a steadying influence in keeping Palace a PL regular. Sure, we could be flashier, but from a business point of view, this is going as expected.

Insanity. This leads to Sunderland/Portsmouth situation. I want anything else but that.

I think that’s how many of us feel, and feel lucky in a way because we can’t go and waste a day at Selhurst.

That quote says it exactly how I feel:

“I don’t expect anything to change until Roy leaves” and I’ve now accepted it, win lose or draw, I don’t get carried away anymore.

Am I reading this right? You'd rather we lose and go down (meaning no Selhurst extension and no academy investment) just as long we play "entertaining football". I must be too drunk, this cannot be how this reads.

Please, explain this to me. For the longevity of Palace, what we need now to be happily 12th-14th at PL so we can invest the money needed for the next step. Roy delivers this. In a very dull fashion, granted. But this is not the time to gamble.

I'll just leave a quote here from Roy's interview after the game "a draw was the best we could have got today and we got it" not sure I know what to say about that, apart from I despair.

Say's it all and as a player coming to training tomorrow morning with Man U up next having just read that your Manager thinks all you are good enough to achieve is a point at home against a team 3rd from bottom in the League..!!

So that motivates you exactly how..??

It's like all things with Roy he blames everyone but himself and takes no responsibility for performances if they go the wrong way.

He was like it with England and is like it now - man is arrogant beyond belief..!!

Baffled by the mentality of fans who are content with this purgatory. Why would anybody buy into the notion that this is the best we could ever get and that we should be grateful for what we've got? It's like footballing Stockholm Syndrome.

This football isn't just to stay up either. It's the same football that we play even when we're safe, implemented by a manager who is 15 years past relevancy and enabled by a board who have imposed austerity on the club.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

It’s obviously no fun to watch Palace at the moment, there’s nothing to even cheer, I got rather excited with our corner today. If you’re wondering which one... the only one lol

I fear the next few games will be more of the same, can only really see the WBA match being even slightly promising in terms of actually maybe seeing us play but that’s not guaranteed even. I’m really not holding out too much hope for enjoying being a Palace fan until next season and even that’s dependant of hypothetical and perhaps unrealistic anticipations of what the club have planned.

All I’m hoping for at the moment is that we will pick up enough points to see us over the line, and 4pts from the last 2 is a great result in my opinion. I’ve not been RHs biggest fan for a while now but at least it could be considered that he’s resorted to a game plan of trying not to concede even if we don’t create any opportunities let alone score. Our squad painfully looks to be coming towards the end of its lifespan with these players and is massively depleted, we sorely miss Wilf, Jeff, McArthur even Clune who can get forward and Tomkins would probably be starting if fit.

I would be happy with any points we can pick up before the international break and hope we see some returns to the first team and an improvement in performances which will see us safe and perhaps offer something to cheer again.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Financial issue here is that relegation kills Palace. If we get relegated, we might get back next season, if not, trudgery in EFL for years. The risk is just not worth it. Stadium upgrade gets held back, no money for academy. Jesus, avoiding relegation without January panic buys is key.
