Many want these vouchers but dont actually need them. Sadly HMG has or goes above and beyond with benefits. If it was means tested the number needing these meals would be a lot lower. Do you not recognise that people can afford to and then circumstances change? I remember my dad being made redundant when I was young and things we suddenly went on to free school meals but he was too proud to properly explain why.

I think a lot of people live pay check to pay check, even people on decent money. Where we are now isn’t normal times.
