No need, they grow their own food- nobodys hungry in Ireland, they aren"t run by the etonians thou and dont have the old school tie system.Do you not like the free school meals out of term then?

The prevalence of undernourishment in Ireland was estimated to be 2.5% in 2017 and this estimate has not changed since 2000.

The at risk of food poverty rate was 8% in 2018, showing a constant decrease since 2013 when it was 13.3%

A 2019 UK report, by way of comparison, stated that we know that 8.4 million (10.1%) people in Britain were living in households where adults reported food insecurity. However, UK/NI has no accepted indicator to measure food poverty.

There are certainly very deprived areas of cities here and a lot of housing insecurity. Houses and rents have risen again too. Drug addiction will be a big problem in Dublin, Limerick and Cork. However, welfare is easily enough to live on. There is trouble renting though and a lack of social housing.

I used to put the manager's name in front of Red and Blue but got fed up with changing it. If someone cool becomes our manager then maybe..

Red and Blue Army!

You’re such a cliché ‘we should support our own before the foreigners’ but ‘no not like that’ type aren’t you.

I don't agree with what you are stating the rate Ireland pay out in benefits is correct amount to live on and you claim some of them are abused which is opinion not facts based on stats also that is a matter of how they process what is classed as disability etc.

I don't agree with people who work getting less money but a lot of those also can claim some benefits if on such little amounts so it's not just unemployed.

The UK when it comes to disability/sickness benefits is awful.

Real issue is poor money management which a lot of these people are known for even people that work are the same this was shown during this pandemic we live in a now society no longer putting money away to save etc taking out loans putting it all on credit cards buying luxury items don't need (clear example is people buying new games consoles yet moaning have no money so govt should give them some)

Agree, the main problem is their a number of people receiving benefits, that take no responsibility for raising their children and expect the state to do so. The more you give them, the more they want. The consumer society we are in, is a long way from my childhood, everyone wants nice electrical goods, a car and foreign holidays etc. The thought you can’t afford them doesn’t register with some people, people don’t save for a desired item now, just get more credit and more debt.

So true but a caveat on your last line is that debt and credit are ok if you can service the debt.
When you want stuff you either lower your quality or go without.

We should abandon our clapped-out political system immediately.

Replace it with Marcus Rashford and a politburo of urchins and dinner-ladies.

Then we would get kids fed and not be blowing 400 millions on a mile of railway track.

Our generation why don't we clear off with our excuses.

That’d work. With Gary Lineker and Lily Allen alternating between Home & Foreign Secretary and Joey Essex as Chancellor.
