“Mark Clattenburg is a good ref” is one that springs to mind.

I admit that I have bowed at the temple of Clattenburg a number of times.

Apropos my private comments, I suppose they could be filed under the category "Not politically correct" or "Outmoded"
I recall someone once commenting "You sound like an old git" when I was pontificating in vehement fashion in a fit of pique.

I am fast approaching "Old creakey" status and some of the terminology that I use was prevalent in another era.

I am not follicly challenged like Alf Garnett and to date haven't resorted to calling my wife a "Silly old moo".

if somebody calls you an Old Codger, can you sue them ? on the grounds that you have never been employed in a capacity of minding birds of prey ?

I once thought some gruff chap was referring to me as a "Codger" but on reflection I believe he might have said "Todger" in the sense that he was calling me a "Pr..ck".
Charming gentleman.

He’s lucky you weren’t protecting any chips at the time or his chin might have made abrupt contact with the Willo Widowmaker.

i assume the owner of Kayla was not a full time codger ?

so if Greg Clarke got it wrong, would he get sued for linguistic barbarity ?
