We were quite hard up when I was a kid. One year I really wanted an Action Man Commando for Christmas. I was a little disappointed on Christmas morning to unwrap an empty box, until my Dad told me it was an Action Man Deserter. I was made up. None of my mates had that one.
Very good.

I too remember hankering after an action man, only to be given a cheap knock off that didn't have gripping hands and moveable joints. it did make an excellent para from our bedroom window though attached to a keymarket shopping bag and string.

It was a foil covered cardboard bazooka which probably wouldn’t have bothered many Daleks but was very good at knocking decorations off Christmas trees.
