Yep, you look at Clinton's politics in the nineties, it's not that different....the Democrats loved him when he was donating to them.

Both Clinton's went to Trump's wedding and if I remember correctly he was a Democrat up until Obama.

I'd have to disagree. Couldn't personally see 'ol Bill spouting even half the nonsense Trump has come out with over the last 8 years.

They do share some level of moral similarity when it comes to women, however.

Citing Clinton going to Trumps wedding is not evidence of both men sharing the same political stance, or them being aligned in any way at all. Politicians cosy up to influential business figures all the time, whether they like them or not. That's the game

No way he contests the election with Trump.

He's done.

Seems so but if Harris is the best option they're not much better off.

I doubt even as VP she would get the gig. Imagine her v trump in a debate. Omg it would be so funny… well she would think so with her history in interviews !

She is a spectacular example of over promotion and general DEI....pretty much through most of her career.

You wouldn't have her teaching A level let alone being in charge of important departments.

She is full of verbal nonsense for simpletons, it's embarrassing that the land of Kennedy and Nixon allow this crap into important positions......'a big country invading a small country, ''what can be unburdened by what has been'....seriously embarrassing.

You can't help but laugh when Kamala Harris' political rise was greatly helped by shagging SF Mayor named Willie Brown

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I caught the tail end of an interview on Radio 4’s PM which Evan Davis had with John Bolton this evening. Did anyone else hear it in full?

I don’t particularly like Bolton’s politics, or that he agreed to work for Trump, but admired the way he stood up to him in ways that others don’t. He is both intelligent, articulate and always worth listening too. He obviously knows Trump, and his inner circle, well and understands how his mind works.

He was asked two questions in the time I was listening. Firstly, what will the Democrats do. His answer they have an incredibly poor choice to make. Either stick with Biden and definitely lose, or change to another and probably lose.

The second was what would Trump do if he lost. To which the answer was that he would never accept it and there would be chaos, because he simply has no belief that anyone could beat him fairly, so there must be something underhand involved.

However, Bolton doesn’t think it would lead to civil war but that the authorities would contain the reaction. His point being if Trump was unable to overturn a legitimate result from inside the White House then he has no chance of doing so from beside a pool in Florida.

Bolton also recommended that the Democrats now need to rein back on the rhetoric and just allow Trump to show himself as unsuitable. There is no need to go over the top. Just let him do it himself. Bolton said the OTT stuff is helping Trump.

The Democrats need to have their ducks in a row asap. I would like to think it’s all been part of a master plan, but it doesn’t look that way at all.

No

Exactly. This is what some of us have been saying for years. If the Democrats had just downplayed the nasty stuff and focused on Trump like any other politician I don't believe he would have the support he currently enjoys. Instead they have demonised him which has meant that many Americans have sympathised with him.

The failed assassination has now put him over the winning line. The Democrats are now desperate to get rid of Sleepy Joe but who do they replace him with?

Trump wins in November and it's the Democrats fault.

In pole position, certainly but not yet over the winning line. Events in politics can dramatically change things, both for the better and the worse. As the last week has proved.

There’s more than enough time left. It’s unlikely but not impossible.

It's his to lose, but I can't see any decent candidates on the Dems side. Would require some sort of (quite possible) Trumpian fail
