Mumble man is doing as badly as expected. The first US president in history to look like a corpse looking for its coffin. He's so past it he could walk onto the 'walking dead' set without any make up. Any brains he once had have long since given up the ghost, that said judging by their policies, in Democratic terms this puts him in the top five percent. Edited by Stirlingsays (13 May 2021 2.00pm)

Judging by this contribution yours has been an abject failure, so maybe you would be well advised to extend it for a while. Mr Biden is quietly doing a fine job and is a very welcome and refreshing improvement on the past 4 chaotic years.

No doubt, the Israelis have taken it as carte blanche to bomb wherever they like. Biden is nothing if not consistent with the usual foreign policy of the US over the years. I presume you agree with him, as you laud him so much. Personally, I look at him as far worse than Trump, but I shouldn't really blame him. He seems a puppet quite frankly.

No I didn't see the speech and am unlikely to as I am very, very busy with a house move right now, on top of several other issues. So I am not following all the detail. I only drop in here from time to time when I take a break. What I heard yesterday suggests that there is a lot of bridge building needed by the USA as a consequence of the last administration's wrecking tactics which has resulted in no representation at all with the Palestinians. It seems a US envoy is on the way to try to effect some diplomacy, get a cease fire and to then start the almost impossible task of finding a long term solution that can be tolerated by all the various factions involved. Neither side having anything approaching a homogeneous society which speaks with one voice.

Of course the news is edited. It has to be to ensure it doesn't libel anyone or risk damaging national security. A free press, untainted by government control, will though ensure that the truth does prevail. Which it does.
