British public over estimate the number of alphabet soup people in the UK. [Link] Why the surprise? Activists with their antics and the media are continually reporting stories you would think every other person is a minority of some description. Perhaps it is time for the media to start ignoring non stories and only to report the newsworthy. Trans person in employment tribunal case is not news. Why the surprise? Activists with their antics and the media are continually reporting stories you would think every other person is a minority of some description.

Perhaps it is time for the media to start ignoring non stories and only to report the newsworthy.

Trans person in employment tribunal case is not news. Trans person who wins legal case that impacts the whole country is.

If you watch adverts you would think that 90% of the population were ethnic minorities.

Don't get me wrong, I fully support inclusion but not at the cost of exclusion.

i remember when we had straight white men on History documentaries...talking about the relevant parts of the history.

Watch the latest Lucy Worseley 'Black Death' docu...she interviews a dozen experts and almost every one was female. And all her analysis of the ramifications of the Black Death were about empowering 'wimmins rights'. The telly is getting very preachy.

Time to bring in quotas I think. So only 13% of actors should be black. Massive reduction required in sport and music as black people over represented and disenfranchising white people. Trans people make up 0.5% of the population so massively over represented. I wonder how many the BBC employs? Etc. Well the left wanted quotas have to be fair to all don't we? One more point

BBC made the Scottish fishing Village 'Balamory' look like a LGBT west Croydon. Including the accents.

Quotas ? i would be happy to see some of these for....

I saw the very end of yesterdays England game on C4 or 5? Michael Owen and two women as the after match pundits - why??? Why does men's football have to have this crap? If I want to watch Women's football then fine but men's as well - give me strength - it is quite pathetic. they have never played that standard of football even if they have represented their country - they have no idea whatsoever other than some technical stuff. Woke idiocy and it makes some women look stupid because they are clearly out of their depth.

Why does men's football have to have this crap?
If I want to watch Women's football then fine but men's as well - give me strength - it is quite pathetic.

Rationally, unless we're claiming that women are all simpletons there is no reason why they can't be as knowledgable about the game at least on a case by case basis (not all managers had an illustrious career on the pitch prior for instance, they're just very knowledgable about the game). I get the overriding point though, that there is a concerted effort to throw any women up there regardless of the merits of it, and it often shows. Apsects of 'over correction' and tokenism to it.
