I know your questions directed to another poster I didn’t hold much optimism for either of those no.

We had some fortune in both those games, I’m not saying miraculous fortune just things went our way, I still wasn’t that impressed and the last two results have been as bad as you could imagine.

If we’re to scrape through, I’m hoping for a few more pieces of luck in games before the seasons out.

I have no faith in the quality of our players or ability of our manager to see any strengthening on our bid for survival

I’m not saying we have been anything other than dogsh*t. But we will nick a couple of wins and draws . We’ve been rubbish, but luck of not , we’ve had 2 wins and 2 defeats in our last 4 games.

Unlikely. Brighton are on their best ever unbeaten run in the PL. They can defend and score goals. Wilfless Palace have proved we are unable to do either. The last 20 games without Wilf have seen us fail to score in 16 of them and we have only avoided defeat in 2 of those 20 games. What makes you think the current injury reduced team are going to change that record?

With Fulham also looking capable of going on a run, we are in serious trouble, despite our current 11 point advantage over them.

Everton looked dire against Newcastle as well and they lost that one by the same score as today, after that game Newcastle played us and during a very good spell of attacking football in which we managed to score twice (that spell lasted no more then 15 mins) we actually managed to defend quite well even though we were being outplayed ..the two following games for us have been absolutely dreadful, so in three whole games we've actually played 15 mins of good attacking football with about fifty mins of reasonable defending.

Don’t forget Schluppie. Him Zah Eze. Can’t believe they won’t lead us to safety.

I don't think we will be seeing Schlupp for a good while yet.

The 2 wins were with Zaha in the side, our talisman and top scorer.
Without him we look totally abject.
I doubt if he will return to the team soon so some more dire performances on the way starting with Brighton in our next game.

We’ve picked up loads of points when Zaha has played and been awful.
We are currently rubbish, but can still nick a few points. I’m sure.

Yeah so just to be clear I was trying to make a fair point and totally get where you’re coming from (was a hastily and not very carefully written first post).

I think you could be right but it’s still sparking some anxiety in me. It’s unlikely but not at all impossible that we could see a Pardew-esque run of losses between now and the end of the season, I still think Sheffield United probably deserve their position but a real streak of less than necessary luck there too as a recent example.

As previously stated though I wasn’t hopeful against wolves or Newcastle and live in hope we’ll see another burst of points or at least a trickling to see us limp over the line.

Never easy is it! I, like many, blame my father!

My god we look awful, but nonetheless, COYP

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Zaha often looks rubbish when he's been targeted, but it's the fact that as he's been targeted we are afforded a little more space and time for our better players to make the most of, we do have a few but we are really quite desperate without him.

If anyone thinks we are out of the relegation battle, think again!
We continue with our 4-4-2 rubbish and the other teams are strongly improving. Home games vs Fulham and WBA are massive and for sure, not for Palace to lose. We win and we are on 35 p, but with our lot....?

Fulham have been woeful in front of goal and have up to now always somehow managed to find a way to draw and lose even though they've been extremely good on the eye with their exquisite passing, I wasn't expecting them to utterly and completely outplay Everton in the way they did today and the way they managed to open them up so brilliantly, I'm actually scared at the moment for the first time this season.

Agreed but they will have to continue that form for the next 4 or 5 games at least ,and we will deserve to go down if we can't pick up at least 6 points from next 4 or 5 games.
