The last time we defeated Sheff Utd at 'Bramall Lane' was back in 2007.Since then we have played them 4 times at their ground, losing 3 times and drawing once. Even though Sheff Utd are rock-bottom I certainly do not expect an easy game against them.

11 men behind the ball, 0-0 at half time. Roy looking smug. 90 seconds into second half United take the lead, a needless foul by Milo leads to a free kick which Kouyate somehow heads beyond a bemused Guaita.

The two points that I would make are firstly that as usual you have got drawn into the debate despite saying that you wont be and secondly that you complaining about diverting threads is quite amusing as you probably divert more threads than everyone else put together. Why not make an effort to post in plain English instead of the garbled Willoese that you insist on using after all even your idol Jacob Rees-Mogg uses plain English

I am within my rights to counter the fallacious and scurrilous allegations which bear no resemblance to the actualite. Debates by their nature can at times veer slightly off-course, but I certainly do not divert them by making personal slurs. Apropos my style of articulation, clearly it is of great irritation to you.I certainly do not seek to be a varmint in this respect and I am content that I make contributions to the debate without recourse to personal and visceral attacks. This really is my last word on this matter, so any further slurs shall go unanswered and should not be deemed as an acceptance by me that there is substance to the charges.Thank you.

They are on course to be the lowest scorers in Prem history having 18 presently to Derby's 20 which might be an incentive to pop a few in against us. They clearly cannot score, neither can we so 0-0 or 1-0 either way might be the best bets.

In Sheff Utd's last 5 home games they have only scored 2 goals but those goals were scored in 1-0 victories over A.Villa and Brighton so they have won games on their home ground in the not too distant past. In their last 5 games, covering home and away matches, in 2 of these games they suffered single goal defeats at Leeds and Wolves and beat Brighton 1-0 so they will be no "Push-overs" this afternoon.

Sheffield have had a truly hopeless season and if we cannot win this afternoon, serious questions must be asked of our highly experienced management duo.

True - but Roy will be going into this thinking a draw will be “a good point against a tough, well organised and hard working team”. Hate the way I feel about the build up to watching the Palace these day’s!

Roy: "Right lads, here's the tactics for today. I know United have been bottom all season and have only scored 18 in that time, but one can never be too sure about when they will score next as they are a well organised side which offers a threat up front, so I want you to all get behind the ball, and if the opportunity arises I want you to kick it to Wilf, at which point Ray will shout "Go on Wilf!" very loudly."

I think the momentous meeting between Stanley and Livingston (lost in the jungle) has been misquoted. After Stanley had said "Dr Livingston I presumed" Livingston replied "So the palace team sheet is still the same?"
