Anyone else get double posts and not seeing the last reply on here? I have double post syndrome , but only on this site, and am left a page behind the last reply often, I think it could have something to do with the peoples in power in the mod room, is becky on today? This never happens on other sites, so i"m a tad suspicious.

The media blow everything out of proportion. We have more important things to worry about.

Its a valid point. Clearly, at the moment, they are simply swamped by the realities of Covid.

But, and its the real question not being asked because we are all to invested in playing the usual games, can you honestly look at the rest of our ruling political class and honestly say that any other groups would be coping better?

They are all overly beholden to focus groups, and clearly none of them are willing to genuinely lead.

Starmer as head of the opposition is meant to be the man who people would look to at the viable alternative but really?

The issue with Covid is that it requires the qualities of leadership which effectively our peace-time system/expectations of how our political classes arise is simply not up to the job.

The truth is that the virus needs to be allowed to run its course. And people will die, no matter what. Given the average age, and medical condition, of the kind of person who does, unfortunately, succumb, on average, to the virus then it is a terrible reality but given the amount of other diseases that are now being discovered late, then nobody will be honest enough to stand up and admit survival outcome choices have to be made.

Pandemics are part of who we are. We cannot remain locked up behind closed doors because of them. Caution then yes, but harsh decisions have to be made.

Our problem is that none of them have the balls to be honest about it. An utterly useless elite, accross the board.
