What's really good about this deal is that, if anything were to go wrong, as it is France then Pritti Patel will pay for it.

Ha ha, you couldn"t resist an open goal Steeleye!

That is on paper a seriously good back four, Height, Pace, Passing ability, and youth plus experience and 3 on 5 year contracts. Well done to all involved with the transfers

And one on no contract at all!

Hopefully Ferguson is the missing piece and can find fitness with Ward as back up

Mmmmmm Tomkins still gets the nod for me. But agree, it's hugely exciting to have 3/4 good quality players battling for two spots.

decent signing that.

thats 40m sunk on 2 new CBs they best gel, and stay clear of injury!

cant rely on tompkins for any sustained period of a season.

Did you see him yesterday? Guehi and Andersen will be ahead of him in the pecking order within a couple of matches

In fact less than 40m, it seems Guehi was 18m and Andersen is 20m Euros including add-ons (17.5 fee). Apparently the final price was 10m less than first quoted, brilliant business

Indeed, so without the add ons we're looking at just over 40m for Olise, Guehi and Andersen. Good business and well done to DF and the team.

Andersen impressed me every time I watched Fulham last season. Even if we now have two CD with technical abilities - still hope we will NOT be obsessed with playing the ball out from the back.

I'm afraid we will, along with every other club.
Football's becoming a 5-a-side game played with more players and on a bigger pitch now.
I wish there were a few long ball teams in Prem just to mix it up a bit and not be the same all the time.

Well pleased with the signing of Anderson though.

I saw one report saying 17.5m euros + 2.5m add ons. So possibly even cheaper!

When you consider Arsenal are paying 50m for White (who I do think is very good but not yet 50m good) and we've done all our combined business for about 10m less things are looking decent.
