I saw one report saying 17.5m euros + 2.5m add ons. So possibly even cheaper! When you consider Arsenal are paying 50m for White (who I do think is very good but not yet 50m good) and we've done all our combined business for about 10m less things are looking decent. Just saw this is exactly what you did say Spiderman. I should learn to read things propa! Edited by samprior (28 Jul 2021 11.30pm)

Very pleased about this signing. More additions may still be needed, but I'm really liking the quality and youth being brought into this new-look team. Well done to all involved!

I think roughly we will see a difficult next few months with players returning from injury, a lot of new faces and a new tactical approach needing time to bed in, and youth being given a chance. I suspect the team that plays the majority of games in December will look very little like the team that plays Chelsea in a couple of weeks' time. Assuming by Christmas, everything has settled into place and we know our new strongest line-up and key depth, I expect the January window to involve a fair few departures. Luka, Kouyate, and a few others fit the profile of players we need around for the next six months but may become surplus to requirements once Viera's plan begins to really take root.
Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God. |

A great signing. Destined to become a Palace legend. Make him captain and put a bomb up Luka.
Let's keep the ball this season! |

Looked really composed on the ball last season and a solid defender. Another great signing.

makes you realise that there was a plan all along and we have been tracking players. Obviously Vieira is the catalyst for us to press the button and his philosophy has helped attract them, however it's DF who makes the approach and negotiating. Can't remember a transfer window that showed so much promise.

Yes we played Dire football but I feel he used the players we had the best he could. He was given no funds and had to try to use the Solorth's, Jach and Rakip of this world bought by DF. I wonder if these funds and younger players had been given to him our style would have been different. He has been attacked for not using our u23 players but how many who have left us have made it in EPL? Some of current crop may make it but they are not EPL standard yet but remember these youngsters and improved academy were developed during Roy's time.
