Not great. Just looks a bit clumsy and that this is about his level, tried an awful bit of dribbling out of his own box in the first half which highlighted some poor decision making and some questionable ability. Also sliced an attempted clearance and forced our goalkeeper into a fantastic save to prevent a spectacular own goal.

He’s not been much of a threat in the opposition box at set pieces either.

Leeds made it 1-3 around the 73 minute mark. Two goals in quick succession and it again came from work down their right hand side and Hannam ineffective in preventing the cross coming in and poked home from within the 6 yard box. More sloppy defending rather than great Leeds play.

Looks like just the main stand in use for the fans and more Leeds supporters in attendance than home fans.

Palace have just missed a penalty. Last seasons hero Omilabu wins it and ends up taking it (after discussion with Street) Palace look leggy now.

Omilabu on for the last ten minutes or so and immediately makes a great jinking run and gets brought down in the box. Sadly he missed the resulting penalty (good save low down to the keepers right). Still Palace 1-3 Leeds with a minute of normal time left to play.

Didn’t think much of Street’s attitude tbh. Both over penalty and after

Palace had started brightly but Leeds scored against the run of play with their first real foray into our defensive third.

The sending off then changed the game as we had to sit deeper and concede more possession to the visitors. It was a pity that this re-org involved the early substitution of Banks as I was looking forward to seeing some more of him tonight.

Rak-Sakyi looked tidy, Whitworth made some VERY good saves in goal for us and Jack Wells-Morrison placed a rebound over the bar from around the penalty spot when it looked easier to score. Omilabu looked a handful when he came on and the stats indicate he replaced Kirby with 30 minutes to go and not nearer the end which is what I’d mistakenly reported earlier.

No complaints over the sending off and against ten men it was always going to be difficult. Good turn out from the Leeds supporters to watch their U23’s and they seemed to actually outnumber the home supporters.

I went tonight and hope the club keeps an eye on the amount of unsegregated away support for future games, given that a lot of this season's opposition at this level is from a number of clubs with plenty of armchair fans (Moan United, LiVARpool, Spurs, Wet Spam) & that horrible little club from Sussex etc
I know that it is the U23s but anyone can pitch up for just a fiver & it only takes an idiot or two.......

I went to the game last night and result aside, really enjoyed it.

We have some really good players coming through which is good to see. It’s such a shame that we went down to 10 as we were the better side. In typical Palace fashion, we didn’t take our chances and then Leeds scored shortly after, against the run of play.

Rak-Sakyi looks a great player (Zaha esque) and Omilabu caused them problems with his directness and pace when he came on. O’Brien looked solid at the back and is massive. Keeper made some great saves. Looks on the small size.

After seeing Hannam in the play-off final, I had really good hopes for him. But he had an absolute stinker last night. He completely lost his man for their first goal and his confidence seemed to go and looked a liability. He is a long way off the first team which is disappointing.

Look forward to returning for the Everton game.

Yes, he had a poor game last night, and indeed he hasn't started this season well judging from the games I have seen him play in.

Someone on here claimed he would take over from Mitchell by Christmas ( to be fair he didn't state which Christmas ), but he's currently a long way off of that level.

And that is par for the course for the majority of young players, performing consistently to a high standard. In that respect we have an exposure at left back as I think it's entirely possible that Mitchell will have a challenging spell at some point and that position will need careful management.
