Can’t help noticing a trend for 3 at the back. Have we ever even trialled this formation?! Absolute suicide tactics. It will be a flat back 4 without doubt, the difficulty will be who to choose from Tompkins, Gueye, Andersen and Kouyate. If fit, I’d like to see Tompkins in.

Tomkins has struggled with PV's system, Andersen and Guehi are the most comfortable with playing out from the back, I'd only use Tomkins as back up or as part of a back 3.

I cant see Tomkins playing a big part. He's 32 and not the fittest player around.
On the bright side Jesrun Rak Sakyi however is a fantastic prospect, and can easily see him thriving. Would like to see him start.

Me too. And why isn't Omilabu getting a look in? Steve Parish has said he's one of our best prospects. I'm not saying he should be starting games, but I'd like to see him on the bench occasionally.

We've got a few tough games coming up after Brentford and with slim chances of gaining points there may be a case for experimenting.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

VG

Ward Andersen Guehi Mitchell

Gallagher Kouyate McArthur

Ayew Bentenke Zaha

Kouyate can provide more protection against their big lads up top, even slipping back into make a back five when needed. Gallagher will add energy and should be able to provide more support to Ward, likewise McArthur for Mitchell. Ayew should have more luck against a team more at our level, although really if there was another option I'd take it (I think it's too early for Rak-Sakyi to start).

We definitely still need a couple more signings.

Still relevant, but, as an aside, the ref for sat is . . . Martin Atkinson (deep joy)

If your good enough your old enough, Ayew isn't good enough on the wing, and with Ward no overlapping fullback

Brentford play 3-5-2, we will get outnumbered in midfield, like Chelsea, so in my opinion its 3-5-2 or 4-5-1 and i would go with what i opened this thread with

Must be a record for misspelled players in 1 sentence, however, you managed to get Andersen right!!!
