Thought Gallagher and the two cb’s were good today. What was up with Wilf? Constantly moaning and I don’t think he even had a hard game.

Think the penny may have finally dropped with Wilf - no one is coming in for him so now Palace is his lot..!!

Reason no - one is coming in for him is exactly as we saw today and have done so on countless other occasions - recently he’s more interested in himself than the team - he is more petulant now than when he was younger - and with maturity and experience you would expect that to go the other way...!!

My advice Wilf if things ain’t working out how you want them to is to take a long look in the mirror my friend - therein lies the answer to your question - only you can change it..!!

for me Wilf needs to be dropped he has lost pace and tricks which is sad , we need a winger with pace Wilf hasnt got it anymore, Guaita cant catch a ball i have said this for sometime great shot stopper but cant take crosses, lots of pluses and we looked better towards the end after a good start, so onwards and upwards

Never going to happen. Who the hell have we got waiting to take his spot? Wilf was petulant and ineffective today but on another day he’s the best player on the pitch.

If you think Wilf is our biggest problem, you didn’t watch closely enough.

Brentford looked very solid with their back 3 and defensive midfield player.
They made it difficult for us,but it would have made it interesting if Gallagher's early shot had gone in.
I'm not sure where our goals will come from this season if we don't strengthen in the attacking areas and rely solely again on Zaha who appears seriously demotivated.
I witnessed him having a real go at Vieira, Gallagher and Mitchell today.

Regarding the ref, Atkinson was consistent, but it was frustrating that he was not calling many blatant fouls. By the end of the match, I was shocked whenever he blew his whistle, because I just assumed nothing was a foul anymore.

Wilf was getting mugged, there were a few rough tackles from behind, nothing called.

Granted, Wilf complaining for 90 minutes got old fast too.

It is worrying that Wilf seems unable to run past anyone down the left side anymore. He used to go by everyone, now I can't remember the last time I saw him outrun a right back. He's definitely not top 6 side material anymore.

Much improved over the last game. If Gallagher's attempt had gone in it would have been a very different game, he just was very unlucky. Brentford are still in their newly promoted honeymoon period as Arsenal found out last week. Should see another step up in improvement at the next match. Interesting to see what team PV puts on Tuesday in the EFL against Watford.

I know what game i was watching its has been a number of games Wilf has under performed, if you cant see that you haven't been watching, I don't want todays Wilf, I want the one I know he is a long way from that, so take the rose tinted glasses off and really watch, He needs tobe a sub but we need to get someone to push him for his place that may change him , but a 50% wilf is no good for us

The chip on Wilf's shoulder has now grown so big, he has lost all his pace carrying it around. No top half team is ever going to take him on - it's a team game and unfortunately Wilf is not a team player.

Good - Guehe, Andersen, Gallagher, Jimmy Mac

Bad - Kouyate, Schlupp, Ayew

Neither full back good enough to play out.

Can't wait for Benteke to be at the end of his contract again so he puts a shift in.

Schlupp looked well off the pace to start with, like he came back from an allnightrer

Kouyate I could see as a holding midfielder in front of a back 3, in place of Ward

Not too bad at all.

All the new signings had a solid game.

Wilf didn't look too sharp until the end, having said that, Brentford were always very quick to put 3 players on him. Hopefully with Eze and Olise we won't be quite so reliant on one person. We'd be a lot more difficult for teams to deal with.

Jimmy Mac and Kayoute is a bit of a conundrum. Despite criticism, they do the dirty work pretty well. In possession they lose the ball between them alot. With Eze, Luka, and Olise back they aren't going to be our first choice. With that in mind, I'm not going to be too hard on them.

Two games against a newly promoted team and the European champions makes it pretty difficult to judge where we are.

Respect the point.

Just back from the game and echo many others.

We are a work in progress and this is going to take time. What concerns me slightly is we have virtually no attacking threat. I'm hoping that a couple more signings and the return of Olise and Eze will rectify that.

Anderson and Guehi are immense. I pray they stay fit. Unfortunately they have two poor full backs either side of them who aren't good enough to play the way Viera wants.

Jimmy Mac was superb and I definitely like the look of Gallagher. Zaha was, in my opinion a disgrace today. Certainly one of the poorest players on the pitch and this childish petulance is becoming extremely tedious and incredibly annoying. He needs to remember he's 28 now and not 18. I would rather of replaced him with Rak-Sakyi who would of had far more about him than Wilf showed today.

We need injured players back and signings quickly as our options from the bench were not much at all. I noticed we had 2 keepers as subs which I found strange.

On to West Ham next week. A point much needed there as our next 2 are Spurs and Liverpool.

I intended to "lay" 0-0 on Betfair but I forgot to do it. Plus we are up to 13th in the table.

Grateful for small mercies.

wasnt a great performance was it, and you guys saying wilf needs to rein it in a bit are correct.

however, i completely understand his frustrations, double/triple marked every single game gives him no chance, we need to buy a foil for him on the other side or olise needs to be superb from the off.

we have nobody to cause havoc other than him, imagine what the players are thinking when our best attacking sub is bringing on f***ing ayew.

given our opening fixtures, we really needed a win today and regardless of how well drilled brentford are we should be taking 3 points at home to them.
