She did NOT describe those who voted Conservative that way. She was describing Tory Ministers, using robust terms. Terms and sentiments that may well resonate with those "red wall" voters now having second thoughts, as the implications of their actions sink in. So at least you are right with the probable consequences.

There is no excuse for the deputy leader of the Opposition to use such language ( I would say the same whatever party), it is infantile at best. According to the Daily Mirror, she told the event on Saturday night: "We cannot get any worse than a bunch of scum, homophobic, racist, misogynistic, absolute vile... banana republic, vile, nasty, Etonian... piece of scum." That's pretty accurate. The reason she calls them 'scummy' is because they are driving people into poverty during a pandemic it is undeniable, it is simply true. So 'scummy' they are, I think the 'nasty' party is more appropriate but it is probably a bit passe by now.

That's pretty accurate.

The reason she calls them 'scummy' is because they are driving people into poverty during a pandemic it is undeniable, it is simply true.

So 'scummy' they are, I think the 'nasty' party is more appropriate but it is probably a bit passe by now.
