3 months seems long for a hamstring Not for a serious tear but, given he was able to continue playing for the rest of the game, you'd think (and hope!) that recovery would be weeks rather than months. Best to make sure it's healed properly though, rather than pushing a return, as a subsequent tear could be much worse. (wasn't that what happened with Benteke?)

Fortunately we have a strong squad to cover this. Probably Schlupp in the next few games with Eze coming on from the bench when PV feels he is ready (could be a few minutes at Burnley?) And Hughes as an option when his back is better.

PV just confirmed he has hamstring issues and will be out for a couple of weeks. He also said he sees Eze as a number 10, rather than out on the left, so possibly he might fill McArthur's boots (I imagine tomorrow is too soon for that though). No other new injuries.

Is he ever going to play for us again? Signs dont look good, injured last season for a longtime, now out again for months, suggested return dates come and have gone. Now we are looking to bring in D Van de Beek.

I'm sure that I remember reading here that someone bumped into him a couple of months ago and asked him when he would be and the reply was "in a couple of weeks"

Really hope he will make it back in feb. Either way I reckon this is his last season.
