Of those five, I'd say only Everton is obviously "winnable" and they'll have a new manager bounce, for whatever that's worth. So Syd, after those 6 league games, Newcastle won FIVE and drew one. With the season coming towards the business end with only a handful of games left I think its clear that Eddy Howe has done better than anticipated & NUFC will quite likely end up with a place in Europe next season, whether that's CL or the Europa thingy remains to be seen - Just as NUFC will likely look to upgrade areas of their playing staff during the close season, I wonder if they will look to bring in a manager who has European experience to be better equipped to cope with the new demands they will face ? There are many who will say Eddy Howe has earnt his opportunity to see how he copes but will the owners see it the same way ? If not - then perhaps Eddy Howe would be good for Palace -( if he doesn't go to Southampton)

Howe has proven over the years ,especially earlier in his career that he can fire up players and get a performance out of the most average of squads .
