So sad !
A real favourite when I started going in 1974 and superb haircut, scored possibly the greatest unfilmed goal at Selhurst, January 1977 v Liverpool FA Cup 3rd replay

Such sad news. Fantastic player, saw him play in my first ever Palace game in 1980.

My condolences to his friends and family. RIP Doris.

Doris was one of my first Palace heroes and is worthy of the title "legend". I was at the Liverpool game and vividly remember the screamer goal. I may be wrong, but I think I can recall black and white footage of it. I think it was on the news later that night. I will have a look on Youtube and see if I can find it.

Anyway, RIP Paul Hinshelwood and my condolences to your family. I hope CPFC pay tribute at the Liverpool game.

Can’t believe this, only 65. As a boy played against Paul and his brother Martin, the pair of them tore us apart. Will go down in Palace folklore. RIP Paul

RIP. Very sad. Younger than makes me, so even more poignant.

Haven't seen the cause, but assume an illness. I always enjoyed seeing him play.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Remember him following his brother Martin into the team. Martin’s career was blighted by injury but Paul was a great servant to the club.
RIP.

Extremely sad news, great player.
To have been voted POTY back to back in 'The Team of the 80's' was some achievement.

Paul's son Adam is doing a fine job down here on the south coast managing Worthing FC, who currently lead the Isthmian Prem by 7 points.
Worthing were also top of the league on both occasions the previous COVID affected seasons were expunged/cancelled.
