Plenty of former kneeling EPL payers there. There's been no kneeling or rainbow laces / armbands at Afcon. Slavery exists in Africa and homosexuality is illegal in many African countries so where are the anti discrimination gestures? Am I missing them?

They do what the money men paying them tell them to do.

All that is reserved for Europe.......because the left were allowed to win the social arguments....and we are living with the consequences.

And a few people were killed outside a stadium in a crush. That huge crowd safety issue seems to have been missed by a lot of media. Oh well,... we can't really pin that one on slavery

The consultant for the stadium design and build must have been a white person, that'll do.

These campaigns aren't at AFCON largely for the same reason they are here. Here we now give a level of concern and consideration to minorities, and in several Africa they more frequently do not. If you see how white farmers or gays are treated in many African countries this can be observed to be the case. Certainly there are fair arguments over whether 'taking the knee' and the like achieve anything worthwhile (even Wilf echoes that point) though. If people favour societies where such considerations aren't present there's little to stop them moving to them. I wonder how they'll get on?

How can you fail to see that western wokeness is a product of greed and political ambition. It has nothing to do with morality or humanitarianism.
That stuff is for the useful idiots.

I'm not failing to see that at all. Hence why I'm saying that these efforts are in part a token 'empty shell' of concern, but set within a society of people who 'generally' have good will for all, not the few. It's partially commercial too, aligned with what financially brings in the £££ (which again is tied into the populations attitudes and what has the biggest upside). There's a bit more to these things than your relentlessly negative fixation on any instance where you feel consideration has been shown to other races.

Just caught up, well said

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

the Left win arguments by de-platforming the opposition, or by bullying them, out-spending them, or chasing them out of their jobs.

they never win an argument the old fashioned way....with facts, logic and rhetoric.

oh but never mind. The left will get their comeuppance. As we saw in Weimar Germany, the Hard Left gives birth to the Hard Right. Two cheeks of the same @rse.

If the centre-left fails to control the loons....all hell breaks loose.

Unfortunately, when you have race driven 'consideration' you also have a winner and loser.
Guess who will be the loser in our brave new world.
