Chelsea are out of form, out of the title race, riddled with injuries and play in the CL on Tuesday. We couldn't really ask for a better time to play them.

Having said all that I think we'll lose 0-1.

i like your thinking here, maybe a bit optimistic, however...

Too optimistic - agreed because Chelsea will score, so 3-1 to Palace!

Damn forgot about Gallagher! Of course! My bad. Okay time to give Eze a start in his best #10 position and see how he goes.

And nah I think against a tough team like Chelsea, Eduoard is better on the counter than Tekkers. Despite what you think, I’m not in love with Benteke…just think he’s better than you say he is. And certainly better than Mateta

I am left with the impression that in relation to our supporters the 'Jury is out' apropos Mateta.

Going on form & creativity - Chelsea 4-0
Yet as there is always a yet - recall Liverpool game !
Yet if Hughes decides to run with the ball , if Zaha,Mitchell,Ayew decide
To actually try to take on players not look for pass backs
If the back four don’t f around with non stock cross play
I reckon we could get a draw

One thing is for sure Patrick needs to get them playing creative football
Not passie backies all the time

Forever Palace Proud

If we can beat Citeh away then anything's possible.

Then again, if we can't beat Norwich and Brentford... Depends who the manager picks. It's the sort of game when honest footsoldiers like Ayew, McArthur, Ward get exposed.

I just don't think we're in a good place at the moment. I can't understand the fixation with 4-3-3 when we just don't have the personnel to staff it.

We don't have a single player who would start for Chelsea. Players we get excited about, like Guehi, were nowhere near. Even if he were available, Gallagher would be another example. So what? If I wanted to follow a team run by an oligarch, there's no shortage. Palace for me any day.

But, no, I don't see anything but a Chelsea win.

Not with me its not, not the finished article, but you can tell by his movement and reading of the game at 23 he will be a good signing, sure he will miss some chances, all strikers do, but its being in the places to miss them that counts

Just watched the Tuchel press conference on Palace's website.

Unless I missed it (possible as I was skipping 30 secs ahead at a time), not 1 journalist asked about the game on Saturday. I don't think Crystal Palace was named once. Not even sure why Palace TV put it up on the website.

Now I hope we beat them so the journalists with their nose up Tuchel's bum can take it out and wonder why Chelsea actually dropped points this weekend.

I'm with some others here and predict a close loss, maybe 1-0. Hopefully it's a good one by us. I'd like to see some changes in the starting lineup like Schlupp not playing midfield for one.
