I bought ticket in Phase 1, as am s/t holder. I also have gold membership and received an email today stating I am eligible for ticket in Phase 2. Presumably this is a generic email and information is not correct

So you qualified on two fronts. Pretty sure you won't be able to buy again under the same client reference...unless a later phase opens up...

Reckon the club have just sent an email to everyone on their gold membership database no matter if they are also season ticket holders or not.

Sure - in hindsight it’s fine but if the demand had been more then there would be an issue. Also a change in access time should be clearly communicated.
