Watched a few of those prepper programmes the problem in the UK would be where to plan your bug out location. Wisbech wouldn't be the safest depending on the type on doomsday scenario you believe in.

Personally I've got 3 packs of Vesta Chow Mein and a 1.5l bottle of gin.

The 'bug out' idea is an option, but that's more for the single individual. Tt isn't really that a realistic option for most, especially if you have a family like myself.

Better to get tooled up....which is possible legally if you know what you are doing. Stay in the location where most of your supplies are.

My advice would be to get what's relatively cheap food now...get it in. Noddles are a great idea, but so is a portable stove with gas bottles and water to heat your noddles if blackouts become reality.

All still relatively cheap to buy.

I'm worried for people in the coming months and years.

Apart from having growing children, although many at football get decked out in labels, thereís a lot of scope for saving money, including football supporters. Less consumerism and convenience doesnít help the economy but plenty who arenít doing it already could take the financial squeeze off themselves. It doesnít have to mean less food and fewer clothes. Just clothes less often if youíre not buying labels.

I am concerned for those not skiving and unable to make ends meet, but there are many who will need to get smarter with their personal finances. Many of us on here will have experienced it or seen it. Today there are people who expect and ce entitled to what they want, because theyíre worth it.

Make sure you have warm clothes that would get you and family through a really bad winter as if you had no heating.....the moment I realised thermal socks were a god send I knew I was officially middle aged.

If you are prepping for the breakdown of basic Services. Clean water will be your biggest issue.

Where this differs to the past is that many properties donít have the option of heating one room or choice of rooms with gas fires. A lot of the time itís heat the whole house or not. Yeah, cold feet. Dislike. There will be people in the predicament of finding heating all the time unaffordable but thereís many who donít think twice about wasting anything. Food, clothes, energy, right to vote.

Indeed, cook from basic ingredients, don't choose dearer proteins.

Opt for the Diamond White.

There's an alternative: have large, dangerous pets. Eat what they drag in, plus, when the bomb goes off - a year or two of meat.

I used to put the manager's name in front of Red and Blue but got fed up with changing it. If someone cool becomes our manager then maybe..

Indeed, water is the most important thing.

If there is ever a large scale attack, and you're still intact, the very first thing to do is run your bath until the supply runs out.

Very true Rudi.

We have all been very lucky to have lived when we have.....I've certainly enjoyed the doughnuts.
