Also, I believe the existing release clause includes certain safeguards for Palace which make it unlikely he'll be going anywhere this coming window. To what extent those safeguards will go with the increased release amount, I don't know.

This new contract offer to MO tells me we are expecting an offer in the summer for him so guaranteed a larger fee. Obviously his agent is aware of this and he and the club are making an amicable arrangement

Just larking around of course but I do think he may realise his earning days could soon be behind him therefore money may be a motivator. Looking back at several comments on here, I do recall hearing several stories of when he was at either Cardiff or United, and would apparently, frequently drive back to the likes of Fort Neath and just hang around with mates, not sure if that's still relevant

Wilf and his mate were just playing FIFA in a club. V odd.

Newcastle are the standout Zaha flight risk. Saudi billions (if that's the Saudis' plan), a huge club (yes they are), but a need for realism about who they can honestly recruit at this moment.

If Zaha goes it'll be for the money - the list of clubs with credible chances of winning things is short, and then there is the question of whether Zaha would be considered a suitable fit for those clubs given his skill set / age / wage / temperament etc. Edited by southnorwoodhill (10 May 2022 6.35pm)
